Master Programme

Full-Time MBA

The Berkeley Haas Full-time MBA enrols about 300 students each fall. The first year is built around 11 core courses (20 units) taught in seven-week modules: data and decisions, microeconomics, financial accounting, leading people, finance, business communication and marketing in the fall, then macroeconomics, operations, ethics and strategic leadership in the spring; some core courses can be waived. The rest of the programme is mostly electives, and every student must pass at least one experiential learning course, for example in entrepreneurship, product management, impact investing, venture or investment funds, or social sector consulting. Graduation also needs at least 51 units, a 3.0 GPA, four semesters in residence and a summer internship. The school's culture is shaped by its four Defining Leadership Principles.
