Bachelor Programme
Mathematics
Bristol's BSc Mathematics, accredited by the IFoA and IMA, gives a rigorous foundation in compulsory topics in Year 1, taught through lectures, small-group tutorials and problem classes. In Years 2 and 3 students shape the degree around pure mathematics, theoretical physics, statistics and probability or a mix, with topics as varied as quantum mechanics, financial risk management and number theory, and can take units outside mathematics; the final year offers project work supervised by research staff. Entry is through UCAS (course code G100).
