Master Programme
Mechanical Engineering
Bristol's MEng Mechanical Engineering covers four core areas: design and manufacture, dynamics and control, materials, and energy and fluid flow. Year 1 is shared with Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical, and Design Engineering students, including an interdisciplinary project; Year 2 completes the common mechanical curriculum through lectures, labs, design classes and modelling and manufacturing projects. Year 3 applies these principles to complex real applications through an open-ended group project, and Year 4 combines specialist options with a substantial individual project. The course is IMechE-accredited and currently going through its scheduled five-year re-accreditation. Entry is through UCAS (course code H300).
