Master Programme
Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Carnegie Mellon's MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the College of Engineering, gives students a solid base in ECE fundamentals and room to specialise. With an academic advisor and faculty mentor, each student builds a plan from the full range of ECE graduate courses and can choose an optional concentration such as intelligent physical systems, computational engineering methods and systems, or network and distributed systems. The department offers more than one MS route, and graduates need a QPA of at least 3.0 across the 97 or 133 required units, depending on the route, plus a one-unit introduction to graduate studies course. Only one graduate course (12 units) can be transferred in from another university.
