Bachelor Programme
Law
Edinburgh's LLB is grounded in Scots law and prepares students for the Scottish legal profession as a solicitor or advocate, in line with the requirements of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates, while also covering the law of the rest of the UK, the EU and other systems. Years 1 and 2 cover the core subjects, including contract, family, public, EU, property, criminal and delict law, plus the courses needed for professional purposes. Students can finish with the three-year LLB (Ordinary) or continue to a fourth honours year with advanced options and a dissertation; study abroad is available. Entry is through UCAS (course code M114).
