Bachelor Programme
Psychology
Edinburgh's BSc Psychology studies the mind, brain and behaviour with a strong emphasis on research methods and statistics: students learn to programme in R from Year 1 and use qualitative and laboratory methods. Year 2 covers the core areas of cognitive, developmental, differential, biological and social psychology, Year 3 adds critical analysis, advanced statistics and a group research project, and Year 4 combines research-led options and an integrative psychology course with a dissertation based on the student's own research project. The single honours degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society, and study abroad is available. Entry is through UCAS (course code C802).
