Bachelor Programme

International Relations

Glasgow's MA (Social Sciences) in International Relations examines how states and societies interact across borders, with particular strengths in global security and conflict and in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, China and the Middle East. Teaching is based on lectures and seminar discussion of questions such as the causes of war, state cooperation on climate change and human rights, and the role of non-state actors. Year 1 introduces politics and international relations, Year 2 covers the history of political thought and comparative politics, and Honours allows specialisation. Entry is through UCAS (course code L250).
