Master Programme
Aeronautical Engineering
The MEng Aeronautical Engineering prepares students for careers in the aerospace industry through aerodynamics, lightweight structures, structural mechanics and flight mechanics. Year 2 adds mechatronics, propulsion and turbomachinery and a flight-testing course at Cranfield University's National Flying Laboratory Centre; Years 3 and 4 offer a wide range of specialist options, a design-team group project in Year 3 and an individual research project in Year 4. All students apply to this course (H401) and can later stay on it or transfer to the department's other aeronautics routes. Entry is through UCAS (institution code I50), with the ESAT and an interview for strong applicants.
