Bachelor Programme

Biological Sciences

Imperial's BSc Biological Sciences studies living systems from molecules and cells to whole organisms and ecosystems, including the evolution and diversity of life on Earth. A Life Sciences Skills programme trains students in quantitative methods, programming, statistics and scientific communication, and from Year 2 they specialise in areas such as ecology, molecular biology, cell biology and development, microbiology and immunology, with lab, computational and field work. The final year centres on an extensive research project. Entry is through UCAS (course code C100, institution code I50), and applicants must sit the ESAT; the department does not generally interview.
