Master Programme

Design Engineering

The Dyson School of Design Engineering's MEng combines traditional engineering with modern design tools and mindsets, covering computer-aided engineering, rapid prototyping, human-centred design, systems thinking and sustainability. The first two years cover design principles, mathematics, electronics, mechatronics and data science through team projects in extensive hackspaces and workshops; the final two years add specialist options and a six-month paid industrial placement in Year 3. The degree is professionally accredited. Entry is through UCAS (course code 28G3, institution code I50), with the ESAT and an online interview, typically held between November and March.
