Bachelor Programme
English Literature
Manchester's BA English Literature covers writing from the Anglo-Saxon period to the present, from illuminated manuscripts to graphic novels and from poetry to postmodern fiction, drawn from the English-speaking world and beyond. First year samples a wide range of literature, and Years 2 and 3 let students pick the units that interest them most, in a UNESCO City of Literature with a busy programme of literary events. Students can apply for a semester abroad in second year or a placement year. Entry is through UCAS (course code Q320, institution code M20).
