Bachelor Programme

Medical Science and Medicine (Direct Entry)

Monash's five-year Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine lets school leavers enter medicine directly. The first two years are taught on campus and the last three are based in hospitals and the community, through Monash's network of teaching hospitals, including Monash Medical Centre and The Alfred. Learning combines lectures, small-group case-based tutorials, simulation and early clinical visits, and includes a supervised research placement. An Extended Rural Cohort option places most clinical training in regional Victoria. Domestic students apply through VTAC; international students apply directly to Monash with course code M6011, or through VTAC if completing an Australian Year 12 or the IB in Australia.
