Bachelor Programme

Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urbanism

The Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urbanism at UBC Vancouver is a four-year undergraduate degree from the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture that explores design at every scale, from the body to the city. A core studio sequence, supported by courses in history, theory, media, technology and professional practice, is taught in small studios with design-build, study-abroad and co-op opportunities. It is not a professional architecture degree but prepares students for graduate professional programs and design careers; students are admitted directly into first year (about 50 places) through a UBC application plus a supplemental application.
