Bachelor Programme
Art History
Art History at UBC Vancouver is a four-year Bachelor of Arts major from the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory, in which students learn to analyze images, objects and visual culture in their historical and cultural contexts. Majors can concentrate on the arts of Europe and the Americas, the Indigenous Americas, or East and South Asia, using resources such as the Belkin Art Gallery and the Museum of Anthropology, and Honours and co-op are available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and enter the major in Year 2 after at least 3 credits of 100- or 200-level Art History.
