Bachelor Programme

Cellular, Anatomical and Physiological Sciences

Cellular, Anatomical and Physiological Sciences (CAPS) at UBC Vancouver is a four-year BSc on how the human body is built and how it works, with courses on the nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal and gastrointestinal systems. Offered by the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine, it is available as a major or as a small, highly competitive honours program built around a research thesis, and co-op is available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Faculty of Science (BSc) and apply for the CAPS Major at the end of first year; Honours needs a separate application before third year.
