Bachelor Programme
Computer Science (BA)
Computer Science (BA) at UBC Vancouver is a four-year Bachelor of Arts that gives a thorough grounding in software design and computing topics such as databases, operating systems, security and web development, combined with the Faculty of Arts degree requirements instead of the Science ones. It suits students whose other interests lie in the arts and social sciences rather than the lab sciences, and co-op is available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Faculty of Arts (BA) and apply to the Computer Science major after completing CPSC 110 (or 107), CPSC 121 and CPSC 210.
