Bachelor Programme
Economics and Political Science
The Combined Major in Economics and Political Science at UBC Vancouver is a four-year BA, taught by the Vancouver School of Economics and the Department of Political Science, that pairs intermediate micro- and macroeconomics and econometrics with the study of politics. Students complete at least 33 credits of economics, including a senior research seminar, and 30 credits of political science, with an optional Politics, Policy and Administration focus. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Faculty of Arts (BA), declare a Political Science major, and apply to Economics for the combined major, normally once they have 27 credits.
