Bachelor Programme
Engineering Physics
Engineering Physics at UBC Vancouver is a five-year Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc), one of UBC's most competitive programs, that combines advanced math and physics with computer science, electrical and mechanical engineering and extensive project-based design. In second year students choose an Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics specialty, and co-op work terms are built into the curriculum, preparing graduates for research and new-technology roles. This is not a direct-entry program: students complete the common first year in UBC Engineering, then apply to Engineering Physics (including an in-person interview) and spend four more years in the program.
