Bachelor Programme
German Studies
German Studies at UBC Vancouver is a four-year Bachelor of Arts major from the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies on the culture, film, history, language, literature, media and thought of the German-speaking world. No previous German is needed: students build up through the GERN language sequence to at least B2 level and combine it with courses taught in English and German, and Honours and co-op are available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and self-declare the major once they reach second-year standing.
