Bachelor Programme
Hispanic Studies
Hispanic Studies at UBC Vancouver is offered as the Bachelor of Arts Major in Spanish from the Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies, covering Spanish language at all levels and the literature and cultures of Spain and Latin America. Students reach at least B2 Spanish and take courses from translation to the Latin American novel and Spanish film, with co-op and exchanges with universities in Latin America and Spain available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and self-declare the major once they reach second-year standing.
