Bachelor Programme

Indigenous Land Stewardship

Indigenous Land Stewardship at UBC Vancouver is a four-year, cohort-based bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Stewardship that prepares Indigenous students and allies for land stewardship work with and for Indigenous communities and Nations. Taught by Indigenous scholars, allies, Elders and knowledge keepers, it bridges Indigenous and Western knowledge in areas such as ecology, law and governance, GIS and mapping, business management and community capacity building, and includes land-based field courses. Most courses can be taken in person or online from your home community, and students are admitted directly from secondary school (or as transfer or mid-career students) with a separate positionality statement.
