Integrated Sciences
Integrated Sciences at UBC Vancouver is a four-year BSc for students whose interests cross disciplines: once admitted, you design your own upper-year curriculum bridging at least two fields, with help from an assigned faculty mentor. Your course plan is combined with small, team-taught Integrated Sciences (ISCI) core courses built around active learning, discussion and collaborative research; honours and co-op are available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Faculty of Science (BSc) and apply for the Integrated Sciences specialization at the end of first year.

Tuition Information
2026/27 first-year tuition: CAD 53,082.00 per year for international students (Science rate, CAD 1,769.40 per credit x 30 credits) and CAD 6,200.70 for Canadian students (CAD 206.69 per credit x 30 credits). Fees for students starting in 2027/28 have not yet been published. Tuition only; student fees, health insurance and housing are extra.
Admission Requirements
- No specific first-year courses are required; admission is based on your average and how highly you rank Integrated Sciences, and applicants prepare a proposal for their planned curriculum
- BC high school: English Studies 12 (or English First Peoples 12), Pre-Calculus 12 and one of Anatomy & Physiology 12, Chemistry 12 or Physics 12, plus Chemistry 11 and Physics 11
- IB: Math AA (SL/HL) or Math AI HL, plus one of IB Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- English language proof, if required, is due February 15, 2027 (see English Language Requirements below)
