Bachelor Programme

International Relations

International Relations at UBC Vancouver is an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts major that combines economics, history, political science and other disciplines with the study of a language other than English to examine diplomacy, security, the global economy and development. The 60-credit major includes 12 credits in one language other than English and upper-level courses and seminars across these fields, many students go on exchange, and honours routes run through History or Political Science. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts, complete prerequisites in their first two years and apply to the major, which has limited space, for entry in third year.
