Bachelor Programme
Kinesiology: Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences
The Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences option of the Bachelor of Kinesiology at UBC Vancouver is a four-year program that examines the physiological, neural, mechanical and behavioural mechanisms behind human movement, and how they are affected by physical activity, aging and disease. It prepares students for advanced study in human movement science, health and fitness, or certification as a kinesiologist, and the School has 13 research labs, including ones for integrative and cardiovascular physiology and human neurophysiology. Students are admitted directly into the Bachelor of Kinesiology from secondary school and specialize in the option in the upper years.
