Bachelor Programme
Latin American Studies
Latin American Studies at UBC Vancouver is an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts major, administered through the Faculty of Arts' First-Year and Interdisciplinary Programs, on the cultures, languages, societies, geography, politics and history of Latin America. The 42-credit major draws on anthropology, art history, geography, history, political science and Spanish or Portuguese, and UBC has exchange agreements with universities in Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica and Mexico; co-op is available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and self-declare the major once they reach second-year standing.
