Bachelor Programme
Materials Engineering
Materials Engineering at UBC Vancouver is a four-year Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) about how metals, ceramics, polymers and composites are characterized, processed and used in design. By fourth year students apply this to process design and materials selection, and an optional co-op adds twenty months of work experience in the last three years. This is not a direct-entry program: students complete a common first year in UBC Engineering and choose Materials Engineering at the end of it.
