Bachelor Programme

Modern European Studies

Modern European Studies at UBC Vancouver is an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts major administered by the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies (CENES), combining European languages, history, art, music, literature, philosophy, politics and economics. Students take approved courses across these fields plus 12 credits of a European language other than English, and can go on exchange to universities across Europe; co-op is available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and self-declare the major once they reach second-year standing.
