Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UBC Vancouver is an intensive, full-time, in-person program from the MacIsaac School of Nursing that prepares students to practise as registered nurses. Students enter at third-year level and complete five consecutive terms (about 20 months) of nursing theory and clinical practice in acute care and community settings, supported by a clinical simulation lab. This is not a direct-entry program: applicants need a completed bachelor's degree or at least 48 non-nursing university credits, and the program is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents and refugees only.

Tuition Information
2026/27 tuition: CAD 206.69 per credit for Canadian students (Nursing rate; CAD 6,200.70 for a 30-credit load). The program is 81 credits over five consecutive terms. Open to domestic applicants only, so no international rate applies. Fees for students starting in 2027/28 have not yet been published. Tuition only; student fees, health insurance and housing are extra.
Admission Requirements
- Open to domestic applicants only (Canadian citizens, permanent residents and refugees)
- At least 48 non-nursing university-transferable credits (or a bachelor's degree), including 3 credits of first-year English and 6 credits of human anatomy and physiology, with a minimum 70% average on the most recent 30 credits
- Supplemental application due January 15, 2027 and the Casper test taken by January 17, 2027; selection uses GPA, the supplemental application and Casper
- Admission is competitive with limited enrolment; accepted students need a criminal record check, CPR-HCP certification and N95 mask fitting
