Bachelor Programme
Psychology
Psychology at UBC Vancouver is a four-year Bachelor of Arts major in the scientific study of behaviour, covering behavioural neuroscience, cognitive science, clinical and health, developmental, social and personality psychology, and quantitative methods. Every major carries out a research project in the second-year methods course PSYC 217, the department has more than 45 research labs, and Honours and co-op are available; a separate BSc in Psychology is offered through the Faculty of Science. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and can declare the Psychology major, with no minimum grade requirement, once they reach second-year standing (27 credits).
