Bachelor Programme
Theatre Studies
Theatre Studies at UBC Vancouver is a four-year Bachelor of Arts major from the Department of Theatre and Film that analyzes theatre and performance through textual, historical, sociological and philosophical approaches. Students start with introductory courses in theatre studies, acting, production and design, then focus on theatre history, dramaturgy and methods, using the Frederic Wood and Dorothy Somerset theatres; Honours and co-op are available. This is not a direct-entry program: students are admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and self-declare the major once they reach second-year standing.
