Bachelor Programme

Computer Science

UNSW's Bachelor of Science (Computer Science), taught by the School of Computer Science and Engineering, covers how computer systems are designed, built and used, from algorithms, data structures and programming languages to operating systems, compilers, networks and hardware. Students can stay general or take a major in Artificial Intelligence, Security Engineering, Computer Networks, Database Systems, Embedded Systems or Programming Languages,. The degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society. UNSW moves from its three-term calendar to a flex-semester calendar in 2028, so degrees started in 2026 or 2027 will span both calendars and their length may vary. Domestic students apply through UAC (code 425800); international students apply directly to UNSW (program code 3778).
