Bachelor Programme

Economics

Economics at uOttawa studies how individuals and societies make choices when resources are limited, looking at the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. Two themes run through the program: efficiency and fairness. Students use them to explore questions such as why some countries are richer than others and why income inequality has grown. Co-op and a French Immersion Stream are available, and related programs include economics with public policy or international development.
