Bachelor Programme

Medical Science / Doctor of Medicine

UQ's Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine is a new direct-entry pathway for school leavers. After two years of tailored pre-medicine study (32 units of core science and biomedical science courses plus electives), students move straight into UQ's four-year MD. The MD includes clinical placements from its second year and finishes with internship preparation. Graduates qualify at least a year sooner than via the traditional graduate-entry route. Domestic students apply through QTAC (code 721502); international students apply directly to UQ (program code 2578).
