Bachelor Programme
Kinesiology - Health Studies
The Faculty of Human Kinetics's Kinesiology - Health Studies program focuses on the human side of movement science and active living. Courses include biomechanics, exercise physiology, anatomy, human growth and development, ergonomics, sport psychology, and health and wellness. Students get hands-on experience through co-op (apply in first year), internships, community outreach and research in the faculty's labs. Graduates go on to become registered kinesiologists or ergonomists, or continue to professional programs such as medicine or physiotherapy. Windsor reports that 98% of graduates are employed within six months.

Application Deadline
Fall 2027 (September): Windsor accepts applications from October 2026 to 1 August 2027. Ontario high school students should apply through OUAC by the 15 January 2027 equal-consideration date. Windsor recommends that international (visa) and transfer students apply by 1 May 2027 so there is time for the Provincial Attestation Letter and study permit, and the overall recommended fall deadline is 1 July 2027. Qualified students are still admitted after these dates while space remains. Winter (January, recommended by 1 November 2026) and spring (May, by 1 March 2027) entry are possible for most programs
Tuition Information
International: CAD 36,050 a year in tuition for students starting in the 2026-27 cohort (Spring/Summer 2026, Fall 2026 or Winter 2027), from Windsor's 2026/27 fee schedule (two semesters). International tuition is set by entry cohort and stays flat for that cohort, but rates for students starting in Fall 2027 have not been published yet. Ontario residents pay about CAD 6,091 a year (2026-27, first year; domestic rates rose 2% for 2026-27). Since the 2025-26 cohort, international kinesiology students pay the Science rate because the degree became a BSc. Windsor's international guide estimates about CAD 3,900 in incidental fees, CAD 3,000 for textbooks, CAD 8,938-11,500 for living costs and CAD 7,025-7,325 for a meal plan over the eight-month year. Out-of-province Canadian students pay a separate, higher domestic rate. The fee estimator at uwindsor.ca/tuition gives exact per-term amounts
Admission Requirements
- Apply through OUAC (the 101 application for Ontario high school students, 105 for others). International applicants living outside Canada and the US who are only applying to Windsor in Ontario can use Windsor's direct international application or an authorised agent
- Ontario prerequisites: English (ENG4U), one of Biology (SBI4U), Chemistry (SCH4U) or Physics (SPH4U), and (from 2026) one of Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) or Advanced Functions (MHF4U). Applicants from outside Canada need the equivalent of the OSSD with six Grade 12 academic courses, and their grades are converted to Ontario equivalents. The SAT is not required for US applicants
- Minimum admission average: 70%, with 70% in English and in the chosen science. Windsor lists a mean entering average of 83%, which gives a realistic idea of how competitive the program is
- English proficiency (if English is not your first language and you are not exempt): IELTS Academic or IELTS Online 6.5 (one-band retakes accepted); TOEFL iBT 83 with 20 in writing (Home Edition accepted); Duolingo 115; PTE Academic 60; CAEL 60; Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency 176; or Level III of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) with 75%. Three years of full-time study in an English-taught curriculum may exempt you
- You do not need to meet the English requirement when you apply. Windsor gives conditional offers to students who will meet it through ELIP or a test before their program starts
