Tuition Information

York's approximate 2026-27 tuition for a full-time student in business programs (York gives a range for its business programs): about CAD 8,000-11,000 a year for domestic students and about CAD 40,000-44,000 for international students. Fees are based on 30 credits (five full courses). Supplementary fees (student levies, athletics, health and counselling) are extra, typically about CAD 40-50 per credit, and international students pay about CAD 1,151 a year for UHIP health insurance and the student health plan. These are estimates for a full course load; actual fees depend on the courses taken. 2027-28 fees are not yet published.

Admission Requirements

  • Apply through OUAC (the Ontario Universities' Application Centre) and choose York University and this program
  • Ontario (OSSD): ENG4U and MHF4U (each at least 70%), MCV4U or MDM4U (MCV4U recommended), plus three more 4U/M courses (no more than two 4M). Applicants with averages in the low 90s or higher may be considered; keeping the offer needs a final average of 88%
  • IB Diploma: the IB Diploma with six subjects (three HL and three SL, or four HL and two SL), including Math Analysis and Approaches (HL or SL) or Applications and Interpretation HL with a grade of at least 5. Applicants with 36 points or more may be considered, and 36 points are needed to keep the offer
  • US high school diploma: senior-level algebra (at least B) and one more senior math course (calculus recommended). Applicants with an A (4.0) GPA in Grade 11 and 12 academic courses may be considered, and the same GPA is needed to keep the offer
  • Applicants from other Canadian provinces, A Levels and other curricula have their own course lists in the Requirements section of the program page
  • OUAC code: YBA
  • A supplementary application (leadership profile, video interview and timed writing exercise) is required by February 1, 2027
  • York's published averages show the level at which applicants may be considered for admission, not a guaranteed cut-off. The average required is set each year for each program, some programs have limited enrolment, and offers are conditional on meeting the stated final average
  • English proficiency: no test is needed after, for example, four full years of English-medium high school in Canada or in a country where English is the official primary language, or with the IB Diploma completed in English. The Schulich School of Business sets higher test minimums than most York programs: IELTS Academic 7.0, TOEFL iBT 5.0 (94 for tests taken before January 2026), PTE Academic 67, CAEL 67, Duolingo 130, or Cambridge C1 Advanced with no score below 193. Tests are valid for two years
