Application Deadline
Fall 2027 applications go through OUAC. For guaranteed consideration, Ontario high school students should apply by January 15, 2027, and out-of-province, international and transfer applicants by March 24, 2027. York keeps accepting and assessing applications until each program is full, and recommends applying early to allow time for a study permit
Tuition Information
York's approximate 2026-27 tuition for a full-time student in most Arts and Sciences programs: about CAD 6,200 a year for domestic students and about CAD 40,000 for international students. Fees are based on 30 credits (five full courses). Supplementary fees (student levies, athletics, health and counselling) are extra, typically about CAD 40-50 per credit, and international students pay about CAD 1,151 a year for UHIP health insurance and the student health plan. These are estimates for a full course load; actual fees depend on the courses taken. 2027-28 fees are not yet published.

- Apply through OUAC (the Ontario Universities' Application Centre) and choose York University and this program
- Ontario (OSSD): ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U and MHF4U, with no prerequisite below 80%, plus two more 4U/M courses. Applicants with averages in the low 80s or higher may be considered; keeping the offer needs a final average of 75%
- IB Diploma: the IB Diploma with six subjects (three HL and three SL, or four HL and two SL), including Biology, Chemistry and a math course (Analysis and Approaches HL or SL, or Applications and Interpretation HL), with no prerequisite below 6. - US high school diploma: senior-level biology, chemistry and algebra, with no prerequisite below A (4.0). Applicants with an A (4.0) GPA in Grade 11 and 12 academic courses may be considered, and the same GPA is needed to keep the offer

- OUAC codes: YHU (Kinesiology & Health Science or Psychology entry), YVA (Biology entry). Entry is in the Fall term only
- Co-op is optional
- York's published averages show the level at which applicants may be considered for admission, not a guaranteed cut-off. The average required is set each year for each program, some programs have limited enrolment, and offers are conditional on meeting the stated final average
- English proficiency: no test is needed after, for example, four full years of English-medium high school in Canada or in a country where English is the official primary language, or with the IB Diploma completed in English. Otherwise York's minimums are IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 4.5 (88 for tests taken before January 2026), PTE Academic 60, CAEL 60, Duolingo 120, or Cambridge C1 Advanced with no score below 180. Tests are valid for two years
