Tuition Fees

Each university sets its own fees. For many full-time undergraduate courses at the autonomous universities, international students can apply for the Ministry of Education's Tuition Grant, which lowers the fee. In return, they must work for a Singapore entity for 3 years after graduating. Without the grant, the full fee applies.

Living Costs

You apply for a Student's Pass online through ICA after your university registers you. The application asks how you will be financially supported, and ICA may ask for more documents. ICA does not publish a minimum amount.

Student Jobs

Full-time students at approved institutions, including NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUSS, SUTD and the polytechnics, can work up to 16 hours a week during term without a work pass. They can also work during vacations, and do internships that count towards graduation. Exchange students may not work. After graduating from a listed institution, you can apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass to stay and look for work. Once you find a job, your employer must apply for a work pass.
