Student Jobs
D-2 students need part-time work permission from immigration before they start. The weekly limit depends on your degree level and Korean language level (TOPIK, the Social Integration Program or King Sejong Institute). Without the required level, bachelor's students can work only 10 hours a week and master's/PhD students 15 hours. Weekend and vacation hours are unlimited if you meet the language level. After graduating, you can switch to a D-10 job-seeking visa in 6-month steps for up to 2 years.
- Associate / bachelor's students (with required Korean level)
- Up to 25 hours per week on weekdays; unlimited at weekends and in vacations
- Master's / PhD students (with required Korean level)
- Up to 30 hours per week on weekdays; unlimited at weekends and in vacations
- Post-study: D-10 job-seeking visa
- 6 months at a time, up to 2 years in total
